Finding The Rising Sun

...really could not be easier. Within easy distance traveling distance of Bristol, Bath, and Wells, Pensford enjoys good road links with the local area. For those who prefer not to drive, there is a bus stop on the main road through the village, not two-hundred yards from the pub's front door - or for those who might wish to stay a little bit later, a number of local taxi companies offer prompt and reasonable services into the nearby cities.

Parking is seldom a problem at The Rising Sun; the pub has its own car-park, situated between the building and the garden. Even if this becomes full, there is a small, public car-park immediately opposite the pub.

Those with a little more energy might even wish to visit The Rising Sun on their way through the River Chew Walk, which starts in Pensford, and progresses through Publow, Woollard, Compton Dando, and Chewton Keynsham before finally arriving in Keynsham itself.

If, despite the good road links, you decide you'd rather not travel at all, there is a lovely little B&B named The Hollies not far up the road. With reasonable prices, good food, and a pleasant garden, it is an ideal spot to stay whilst the pub is closed.
